We are currently looking for an experienced Logistics Administrator for our seafood production operation in New Bedford, Massachusetts. This role supports the current operation while also providing support to new and existing customers and vendors. They are responsible for supporting the Operations/Production Manager, domestic frozen sales process as well as inventory and packaging. Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel. Experience in food manufacturing and/or the seafood industry is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to Chief Operating Officer
    • Assist in the management of tray pack orders by working with production, packaging and quality assurance and sales.
    •  Generate inventory reports for the sales team 
    •  Maintain weekly sales reports for the Executive Team
    •  Manage a product line import process to include, vendor set up, email correspondence with our international vendors, purchase order creation, working with customs broker and carrier, schedule inbound freezer appointments, receiving final purchase order and setting up quality control inspections.
  • Provide support to Domestic Frozen Coordinator
    • Will be back-up for Coordinator of Domestic Frozen when out of office.
    • Data entry of sales orders
    • Release and coordinate logistics for all frozen sales orders
    • Plan and coordinate the movement of goods from one location to another
    • Research inventory discrepancies for sales orders
    • Assist with ensuring orders are scheduled and delivered within required timelines
  • Provide support to Inventory/Packaging Manager
    • Assist with monthly physical inventories/cycle counts of packaging
    • Assist with reconciliation of frozen inventory location discrepancies
  • Assist with production documents, work orders and transfer orders.
  • Receive cold storage inbound shipments for inventory.
  • Issue all cold storage shipment releases for outbound distribution.
  • Update and develop shared inventory and other sales related documentation.
  • Assist in documentation of frozen shipments, payables and work orders.
  • Maintain production/sales projection template.
